EUCON candidate for TRACS accreditation
Eucon International College is a candidate for accreditation with Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, which indicates that EIC has achieved initial recognition and is progressing toward accreditation.
It has provided evidence of sound planning and the resources to implement its plans and appears to have the potential for attaining it goals within a reasonable time.
TRACS is recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and is a member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education.
The TRACS officials and staff with 18 commissioners met with Dr. Christian Wei and Dr. Eddie Wang on Nov. 29, 2005 before the Annual Conference of TRACS from Nov. 30 until Dec. 2 at Virginia Beach.
In the meeting, the vote was unanimous from the 18 members of the commission of accreditation to approve the candidacy of accreditation for EUCON.
EIC has been working with the accreditation process with TRACS since October of 2003. After the staff visit last May 2004 and the Five-member TRACS Team Visit last April 2005, finally EIC is in the second stage of the process. It will not be long that EIC will be a full-fledged accredited institution.
EIC has made many firsts in CNMI history:
1. EUCON is the first private Christian college in CNMI;
2. EUCON is the first private Christian college approved by BOR;
3. EUCON is the first private Christian college approved by AGO to have accreditation to enroll international students; and
4. EUCON is the first private Christian college approved by accreditation agency, which is recognized by USDE and CHEA.
EUCON is proud to be in CNMI to contribute her efforts for the higher education for the people of CNMI.
