The stage is set for a thrilling end as Black Magic and Ochobu have one more set left in regulation with the two teams separated by just one point in the ongoing 2005 World Organized Rocball High School League at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

The two teams were neck and neck in the opening set yesterday, with two key hits late in the set being the only difference in lifting Black Magic to a 16-12 victory.

The Black Magic wizards continued to work their magic to their favor and put up a better charge in the second set to increase their lead.

Dior Jones connected for a goal shortly after making good on a serve for a xunk, and Black Magic turned their four-point advantage into a 12-point spread, 31-19, in the overall points tally courtesy of a 15-7 win.

Ochobu, however, managed to find the antidote to Black Magic’s run and responded with a furious run in the third set to pull close and eventually take the lead.

Veteran David Tisa scored nine consecutive points, bruising the ball for two aces and a goal in the process, while the entire team pulled together on defense and used their perfect communication to stun Black Magic for a lopsided 16-3 win.

With that, Ochobu turned the match around and led 35-34.

The fourth set will be played today.

Tisa leads Ochobu with nine points on three aces and a goal, while Jones leads Black Magic with seven points on a xunk, a kee, and a goal.

Rocball creator James Feger also disclosed that the bout between Just For Fun and Caropinos will also be completed today.

The two teams completed two sets on last Thursday, with Just For Fun holding a comfortable 32-2 lead.

Just For Fun posted a 16-0 shut out win in the first set and followed with another strong charge for a 16-2 win in the second set.

Just For Fun’s Dennis Camacho currently leads the game with an ace, a xunk, and four goals for 16 points.
