Local media and public relations firm—Couture Marketing—has added Tournament of Champions (TOC) to its growing account list. According to both Couture Marketing and Tournament of Champions representatives, this is a perfect match.

Couture Marketing will develop all the sales and marketing collateral for the 2006 TOC as well as handling all press and public relations. Next year’s tournament will be held on Aug. 5 and 6 at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort. The 2006 tournament promises to be the best yet.

“It is so exciting to be working the premier golf tournament in the CNMI. I feel very fortunate to be working with such a great group of people. Not only is the tournament an amazing event, it’s great to see the proceeds of the event being given back to the community,” said Couture Marketing president Andy Tidwell.

Rodney Klinge, 2006 TOC chair, says “TOC is excited about taking the annual golf tournament to the next level. With the marketing expertise of Tidwell, we know that we are going to make this tournament the ‘must play in’ event of the year!”

Johnnie Walker is back as the title sponsor of the 2006 TOC. This is their second year of participation in the tournament.

Sponsorship packages will be available soon. Next year’s package has been enhanced to give companies even more exposure than they’ve gotten in previous years.

Those interested can contact Couture Marketing at 234.1305 or andytidwellsf@yahoo.com to obtain this years sponsorship package.

Next year’s TOC will mark the 11th year of the tournament on Saipan. Since its inception, TOC has given over $400,000 to the Beautification fund. This money has been used for the traffic medians from Garapan to the Nikko Hotel, the revitalization of the Garapan special district, the enhanced beautification of the Paseo de Marianas, lighting of the Beach Pathway and other beautification projects.
