Checks of construction firm stolen

A construction company is informing the public that its checks with sequence numbers 8836-8917 (82 pieces) and 8918-8970 (52 pieces) are missing. The San Jose firm already informed the Bank of Guam of this misfortune and will withhold all payments involving these checks.

The company is asking all business establishments and other personalities not to honor any transactions or payments using the aforementioned checks.

Other items were also stolen and anybody be offered items for sale specifically a level machine should reconsider not to be involved with such transactions.

Reference number 05-143137 has already been assigned for this case by Department of Public Safety investigators. Please call the company at 235-3637/234-7576 or 911 for any transactions related to these checks and unauthorized sale of stolen goods.

BoG official Ruth Quitugua also clarified that checks of the bank were not the ones stolen and is assuring its clientele that their checks are all secure. (PR)
