Ringing in the new year in style

A splashy, flashy New Year’s Eve rolled across the Mariana Islands, with fireworks galore and extravagant parties to match the aerial display. From much-publicized revelries hosted by the islands’ hotels, to private fireworks displays put on by families, the traditional hoopla that attends every New Year’s Eve was especially festive this time around, as people’s indomitable optimism of what the new year will bring brought its own brand of intoxication to the affair. Happily, everyone took the Department of Public Safety’s advice to drink responsibly, ensuring a truly happy New Year for everyone!
