B. Fejeran makes it to UoG’s Dean’s List

University of Guam junior Brandon Calvo Fejeran made his home island proud after making it to the University of Guam Dean’s List.
Fejeran, taking up a double major in Psychiatry and English Communication Studies, obtained an outstanding grade point average that placed him on the list of academic achievers in the university for the Fall Semester of 2005.
He is the youngest son of Edith and Ramon Fejeran.
College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences dean Mary L. Spencer said Fejeran’s accomplishment is something that he and his parents and relatives should be very proud of.
“You have my best wishes for continued success in furthering your education and in following your chosen career,” she said.
Fejeran attended San Vicente Elementary School and Marianas Baptist Academy in the CNMI. He moved to Father Duenas Memorial School in Guam in 2003.
His mother, Edith, who is the acting chief executive officer of the Northern Marianas Housing Corp., said she and her husband are very proud and happy for their youngest son’s achievement. She said her son has always been an achiever.
“We’re very elated by his recognition,” she added.
Fejeran is the fifth of brothers Gerard, Jason, Ryan, and Eric. His mother said Fejeran likes to read and write and is also active in sports. “My son is very much involved in community events,” she said.
Fejeran was once named the Regional Spelling Bee champion in 1998. He was in 7th grade back then, said his mother. Fejeran competed in the Pacific-wide spelling competition in Guam and ruled over other spelling bee wizards from the Pacific region. He represented the region in the nationwide competition held in Washington, D.C. where he reached the fifth round of competition.
