ALLEGED CAR THIEF ARRESTED
Police arrested yesterday afternoon a man who allegedly stole a vehicle.
Christopher Igisomar, 23, of San Jose, was picked up by detectives for burglary, theft of vehicle, and tampering of vehicle.
Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman had issued an arrest warrant for Igisomar and set a $10,000 cash bail for his temporary release.
The Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Bureau asked the public yesterday to report any sightings of Igisomar. CIB advised that anyone found harboring, assisting, sheltering or helping the defendant would also be arrested and charged.
Late yesterday afternoon, DPS spokesman Ken Concepcion said the detectives were able to arrest Igisomar at 4pm. He said CIB did not provide any details about the incident.
TOURIST NABBED FOR ALLEGED SHOPLIFTING
Police arrested a tourist for allegedly shoplifting a pair of Christian Dior sunglasses worth $280 at Duty Free Shoppers in Garapan Tuesday afternoon.
Concepcion said that Masaki Mori was detained for theft.
Police investigation showed that DFS security officers, through surveillance cameras, observed Mori removing the price tag from a pair of Christian Dior sunglasses.
The tourist placed the sunglasses on the front portion of his shirt then walked out of the establishment without paying for the item.
Police said the suspect admitted he took the sunglasses and did not pay it because he had no money. (Ferdie de la Torre)
