Gov. Eloy S. Inos has reappointed two members and appointed one new member to the Health Care Professions Licensing Board.

In a letter to Senate President Ralph Torres (R-Saipan), Inos said he would be reappointing both Dr. Allan S. Markoff and Ted Parker to the board and appointing Dr. Tiffany Lynn Willis to the same board.

The appointments require the consent of the Senate.

Inos said that he was confident with his appointees and that he expects a “favorable action” from the Senate.

Inos told the appointees that he appointed them because they are qualified and have devoted their time and efforts to represent the interest of the CNMI.

“As an appointee of the governor, you are immediately required to file a statement of financial interest with the [Office of the] Public Auditor,” Inos told the appointees.

Willis will replace Dr. Ahmad Al-alou on the board. Al-alou, who had been serving on the board for eight years now, will soon end his latest term.

Public Law 15-505 states that Health Care Professions Licensing Board members are allowed to serve for four years and may serve for another four years if reappointed.

The HCPL board is composed of five members appointed by the governor.

If confirmed, Markoff, Parker, and Willis will serve four-year terms that will expire on Aug. 28, 2018.
