House cancels session as work continues on line of credit deal

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial met yesterday with Marianas Public Land Trust and Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. officials who are pursuing an $11.58 million line of credit agreement so that the hospital will have an immediate infusion of cash to help pay its employees and vendors.

Trader in arson case wants new trial

The owner of a clothing store in Garapan that went up in flames in 2010 wants a new trial in its lawsuit against an insurance company that refused to pay the insurance claims after establishing that the blaze was intentionally set off.
