4 Starz, Bench Warmers, The Bomba atop v-ball Fall Fest

4 Starz, Bench Warmers, and The Bomba are atop the men’s division standings of the Inaugural 4 Starz Fall Fest Volleyball Tournament 2024 as of last Wednesday at the Agape Gymnasium.

4 Starz sports an undefeated record of six wins and no losses in Pool C; Bench Warmers sit atop Pool A with a 6-1 record; and The Bomba have exploded onto the scene with a 7-1 record.

First, The Bomba won their seventh game with a close call against Agape 2, 27-25; then broke Rice Crackers, 25-20; and wrapped it up with a sinking of Oasis, 25-14.

The Bomba’s rotation consists of K.C. Nuyles, Jerome Manzon, John Matias, Jermaine Salas, Bernard Villagomez, Merrick Toves, Frankie Satur, Clarence Rodriguez, and Joseph Ito.

4 Starz then won over Tan Holdings, 25-20, and 25-21 over PIC Block Party.

4 Starz’s roster includes Nak Nakashima, Ko Kumuch, Yohei Iwashita, Alfredo Guevarra, En Yang Pang, Marc Danga, Isael Saito, Jason Limes, Uwen Cholymay, Trevor Ogumoro, and Nito Calimag.

Bench Warmers first won over Fall Guys, 25-20; solidified their fifth win as they drowned Bikini Bangers, 25-19; and bagged their sixth win as they beat Black Label, 25-14.

Bench Warmers is made up of Mokyang Kim, Jia Hao Yang, T.J. Saures, Omari Joab, Dwight Crisostomo, Kyle Kramer, Kyle Moon, Jasper Hall, Minsoo Kwon, Seth Tababa, and Seth Hong.

In other results, the Bikini Bangers took down Black Label, 25-21; Agape 1 overpowered Tan Holdings, 25-10; Fall Guys held on to win over Chura, 25-23; Agape 2 defeated Tan Holdings 25-16; Rice Crackers beat Agape 1, 25-18; Agape 2 edged PIC Block Party, 25-20; Chura ousted Black Label, 25-17; and PIC Block Party turned Oasis upside down, 25-16.

Behind 4 Starz are Tan Holdings at an even 4-4; Agape 2 has a 3-4 stint; and PIC Block Party have won one out of eight games.

Bikini Bangers are behind Bench Warmers at 5-2; Chura is at 4-3; Fall Guys are next with 3-4; and Black Label haven’t won a game with eight losses.

And Agape 1 is at 5-3 behind The Bomba; Rice Crackers are 3-4; and Oasis have won one and lost seven.

This Saturday, Aug. 31, are the playoffs and championship round for both the men’s and women’s divisions.

4 Starz is a volleyball group that was formed last year, with an homage to its president’s—Nak Nakashima’s roots from the Federated States of Micronesia and Japan—hence the four stars within the sun of Japan’s flag in their logo. The four stars represent the four states—Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, and Yap.
