Five persons, including three minors, were injured when two cars collided in front of Dolphin Wholesale in San Jose on Thursday night.

It took several minutes for the police and emergency medical technicians to remove the injured persons from the Toyota Corolla and transport them to the Commonwealth Health Center.

In the second car, the driver and his passengers—a wife and baby—were not injured.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage to the hood and bumper portions.

Witnesses said the driver of the second car was very emotional and was yelling. When a police officer talked to him, he became calm and removed his shirt as he assisted his family.

One male passenger of the Toyota Corolla was shouting in pain as he was taken out from the car and transferred to an ambulance.

A woman was crying at the scene because her minor son was among the five occupants of the Toyota Corolla. She said her son and companions came from the Thursday Market in Garapan.

It was not clear yet who was found at fault as the area was dark.

Saipan Tribune requested information from the Department of Public Safety, but as of yesterday there was no reply.
