$5K OK’d for children’s park repair

Gov. Eloy S. Inos signed into law a bill setting aside $5,050 for repairs of the Dandan Children’s Park.

House Local Bill 18-54, which is now Saipan Local Law 18-21, appropriates the fund balance amount of $5,050 under Saipan Local Law 17-18 for the Dandan Children’s Park’s repair.

The law will specifically earmark the remaining funds under SLL 17-18 to repair the basketball court and lighting at the children’s park.

Under the law, the expenditure authority will be the Department of Public Works secretary. Inos signed SLL 17-18 last Oct. 2.

House Local Bill 18-54, authored by Rep. Antonio P. Sablan (Ind-Saipan), was passed by the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation last Sept. 16.
