7-day early voting on Tinian, Rota starts Tuesday
The Commonwealth Election Commission is ready for the seven-day early voting on Tinian and Rota that will start this Tuesday, Oct. 27.
“We’re just waiting for the time,” said CEC executive director Julita A. Villagomez yesterday.
On Tinian, the designated polling place is the gymnasium, while on Rota it’s the Northern Marianas College room A1.
For those who are 55 years old and above and those with disabilities, voting hours will be from 8am to 9am. Voting hours for all registered voters will be from 9am to 5pm.
Voters must ensure that they bring with them an identification card with a picture as they will be required to present it in order to be issued a ballot at the polling sites.
Out of 18,526 active registered voters in the CNMI, Tinian and Aguiguan have 1,724, while Rota has 1,931.
The 21-day early voting for Saipan and the Northern Islands started last Oct. 13 and will end Nov. 2. The general election will be on Nov. 3.
