Tan Holdings Corp. gives children on Saipan an early Christmas gift with the dedication of the new children’s playground Iyon Famaguon at the American Memorial Park on Sunday.

Iyon Famaguon, translated “it belongs to the children,” was built to provide children a place they could call their own. Because the park is in Garapan, the playground provides an accessible area for children to play.

The playground, designed for children ages 5-12, was made possible with a donation by Tan Holdings Corp. Community Endowment Fund. The project is in keeping with the commitment of Tan Holdings to invest in the youth.

Many parents go to the part to play tennis. But until Iyon Famaguon, the park did not have a separate facility for children to play. The playground is the response of Tan Holdings to the need for an additional recreational facility for children at the park. The Iyon Famaguon offers an opportunity for children to go out with their parents for family relaxation.

Tan Holdings Executive Vice President Jerry Tan, in an address during the dedication, said that providing children with a place where they could be their happiest is one of the finest opportunities at developments adults can provide. He added that if Iyun Famaguon could bring fun to children, then the company will have achieved its goals.
