A man was killed near the La Liesta mall early morning yesterday in a hit-and-run case.

A caller had tipped police that a Hyundai Elantra with license plate A-C-H 402 was involved. In a news release, police also asked the informant to call back.

Police said the car’s front may have extensive damage.

Anyone who has information about the location of the car may call the Department of Safety at 664-9001/2, 234-6333 and 234-7272. All calls will be treated confidential.

In another case, a man was cut up by a boat’s propeller while fishing off Managaha, witnesses and police said yesterday.

Police spokeswoman Rose Ada said the man was ran over by the boat.
