Marriage Day Mass scheduled on Feb. 14

World Marriage Day is being celebrated on Valentines Day. The theme for World Marriage Day has been permanently adopted as “Love One Another. ” The Marianas Chapter of Marriage Encounter, has chosen to celebrate this year’s Marriage Day Mass at the Santa Remedios church in Tanapag commencing at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. Feb. 14.

All persons are invited to join the Mass and the ceremony. At the Mass, all married couples in attendance who have been married for 25 years or longer, will be recognized. All married couples will also have the opportunity to renew their vows during this Mass. Following the Mass at Santa Remedios, light refreshments will be served.

The World Marriage Day committee would like the names of all couples who have been married for 25 years or longer, who plan to attend, so they will be recognized during the Mass. On the evening of Valentines Day, the committee for this year’s World Marriage Day celebration is organizing a Sweetheart’s Dinner and Ball. The event will be held at the Plumeria Resort. For information regarding the evening dinner and dame, please call any member of this year’s committee.

Marriage Encounter is a worldwide organization sponsored by the Catholic Church to foster and recognize marriage as an enduring institution throughout the world. Marriage is a universally appreciated bond between man and woman. World Marriage Day is a celebration and recognition of that institution and custom.
