The Philippine Consulate has started its program on counseling with a series of recollection sessions for the Filipino workers in the CNMI.

Vice-Consul Ronell Santos is inviting Filipinos to attend its second session entitled “The risk of loving, the idea of Christian Love” to be held this Sunday at San Vicente Church.

With the help from Sister Thaddeus of the local Diocese, the weekend renewals will also set aside time for counseling.

According to Santos, Sister Thaddeus made a courtesy visit to the Consulate last year where she offered her services on counseling.

The Consulate saw the opportunity for her to look after the spiritual welfare of Filipino workers in the CNMI. Moral issues have been raised over the years and a representative from the church will best address such concerns.

The first one was held at San Antonio Church and over 20 workers showed up.

Santos said free transportation will be provided from the Cathedral to San Vicente church and snacks will also be served.

Bishop Bacani from the Philippines is also scheduled to lead the Lenten series at the Cathedral starting March 15 where Filipinos are invited to attend.
