Three wanted for assault

The Department of Public Safety has launched an island-wide manhunt for three male suspects believed to be responsible for the attack of a Filipino who is now in critical condition.

Cesario P. Valerio, a 40-year-old security guard, remains unconscious at the Commonwealth Health Center, since he was assaulted yesterday.

Police reports said Valerio sustained deep wounds in the left side of his head and is believed to be suffering from internal head injury.

At 12:29 AM yesterday, a 911 call reported about the incident at Courtney’s Plaza along the Beach Road in Chalan Kanoa.

Witnesses told the police that the suspects hit Valerio’s head and body.

As of press time, the police could not establish the motive of the assault. It’s not also certain if he was attacked while at his post or if he is an employee of Courtney Plaza.

DPS spokesperson Rose Ada distributed cartographic sketches of the suspects.

Ada asked the public to call 911 and the DPS hotline for any information regarding the suspects.
