July 10

• Fun run at 6:30 a.m. at Susupe Beach Park

• Fitness Walk with First Lady Sophie P. Tenorio and other celebrities at 8:00 a.m. at Susupe Beach Walk across Ada gym.

There will also be sports skill contest at the Ada gym in the morning until 4 p.m. that day. There will be basketball games, baseball hitting, batting, pitching, home run derby; football-kick, pass and punt.

Participants can mingle with celebrities and get their autographs. Professional athletes will also give short talks during the day.

July 11

Sports clinics at the sports complex in Susupe for basketball, football, baseball and soccer. Need cards to attend. There will be an evening sunset cocktail cruise to meet with athletes and guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

July 12

More sports clinics in the villages on Saipan. Football will be in San Vicente and Dandan; baseball in Marpi at Kan Pacific field; baseball at Kagman; and soccer in Susupe.

There will also be the First Lady’s Luncheon at the Aqua resort Club with a guest speaker. Community leaders are asked to invite young female athletes to have lunch with them. Tickets on sale for $35 for two.

Another event that evening will be held at Pacific Gardenia Sunset Grill. This will be another opportunity for the community to meet the athletes in an island setting by the beach. Tickets are $50 per couple.

July 13

The athletes will visit Rota for sports clinics and talks, then play golf at the Rota Resort Hotel. Rota Mayor Benjamin T. Manglona is sponsoring this event.

July 14

Junior Golf Tournament at Kingfisher Golf links. Athletes’ sons will play golf with Saipan’s junior golfers and invitations will be extended to Guam.

July 15

The athletes will visit Tinian for more sports clinics and talks with the youth hosted by Tinian Mayor Francisco M. Borja. The day will be capped by a Casino Night hosted by Tinian Dynasty. A special package from Saipan will be arranged for those interested in meeting with celebrity athletes. Tickets will be sold at $60 for two including meal and transportation.

July 16

The big event of the week is the Governor’s Celebrity Golf Tournament where golfers will have a chance to play with the celebrities. The tournament will be held at Kingfisher Golf Links and entry fee is $50 per person which includes the final banquet at PIC that evening

There will be a long ball, putting, and closest to the pin contest.

The final banquet of the week for all the activities and the golf tournament will take place at the PIC beginning 6:00 p.m. Special awards will be presented and there will be a special guest appearance. Winners of the various activities will also be announced.

July 17
Special water Olympics with the guest athletes and for those who wish to join. Membership cards will be required and PIC will offer a special price of five dollars to enter the Water Park if you present a card.
