I am a concerned citizen addressing an important issue concerning our elected officials here in the CNMI.

On June 4, 1999 Congressman Dino Jones introduced a bill concerning adultery here in the CNMI. In his bill, he proposed that adultery in the CNMI be considered a felony with two years imprisonment and $5,0O0.00 fine if passed.

Doesn’t Congressman Dino Jones have anything else intelligent to introduce as bill instead of tampering with “peoples private lives”? If for some reason, God forbids that such a bill becomes law, Congressman Dino Jones will be the first politician to be prosecuted in the CNMI on adultery charges, furthermore, Congressman Dino
Jones should go back to his desk and write up a meaningful bill such as immediate deportation of all the Chirtese engaged in prostitution here on my island!

Lastly, adultery is very common around the world therefore I suggest Congressman Dino Jones get real because I ain’t opening my closet for anyone and he should stick to his promises to us, the public andcitizens of the CNMI.
