POWER OUTAGE
The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation will replace a deteriorated utility pole in Garapan tomorrow. When utility crews remove the high voltage lines from the old utility poles to the new pole, the electricity will be turned off, resulting in a minor power outage in the Garapan business district.
The power will be turned off for all of Feeder Two for only 10 minutes at 2 PM and again at 4 PM. Both of the power outages will affect customers from Lower Base, through American Memorial Park, through Garapan, south down Beach Road to the traffic light at Chalan Monsignor Guerrero (Microl).
However, the power will remain off for the entire two hours in the heart of Garapan at the Hyatt and Dai-Ichi Hotels and surrounding businesses. Once the new power pole has been installed, it will supply reliable electricity and the Garapan electrical system will be in better condition this coming typhoon season.
