Attention Mrs. Reynolds
Mrs. Reynolds came here to Saipan because she wanted to teach our CNMI children. No one forced her to come. That was entirely her choice and her decision. And so, if the plan to phase out mainland teachers ills her, then she needs to save herself from whatever it is that she is going through.
Mrs. Reynolds have the audacity to say that I was frequently absent and that my situation was the worst among all. She was definitely out of line here. She does not have the slightest idea about my situation. All my sick and personal days off were justified and I personally don’t see here where this is any of her business. Mrs. Reynolds is not my supervisor.
In addition to this, it was us, Program Teachers (teacher aides) that were pulled out from our bilingual classes to substitute for classroom teachers that were out sick, for personal matters, or attending to workshops. The situation about no budget for subpool is certainly not the teacher aides’ fault.
Mrs. Reynolds could have saved the readers their wonders of our school’s reputation as she revealed and advocated herself and our school’s 1st grade program. Her lack of coordination between the proper chain of command and her article, attacking the integrity of the Chamorro program bilingual teacher, was just way beyond demoralization. I suggest Mrs. Reynolds get her facts straight since she cannot teach our mother tongue language. Perhaps, the long term plan to phase her out must indeed materialize.
