Last month the Northern Marianas College Business Development Center held its 2nd Annual Business Expo and Training Seminars which drew over 150 participants from Saipan, Tinian and Rota.

Beginning July 20th, the NMC-BDC will hold seminars focusing on boosting business profits during tough economic times and how to start a business.

The program envisions to acquaint entrepreneurs with the challenges and opportunities of managerial pricing and marketing. Chris Holst, NMC-BDC graduate intern, will address these two topics.

According to Holst, “pricing your product service is extremely important because profit margins are slim and competition is fierce in a weak economy.” He said “business must continue to market aggressively by adding value to existing products without increasing costs.”
