1999 MARPAC Palau Baseball League Roundup
History was made on July 18, 1999 at Koblerville Field in a game between Koror Bombers and Peleliu. With no out and a runner on 1st and 2nd bases, Norman Mobel hit a sharp grounder to short stopper Mel Sakisat, who caught the ball, tagged runner Chanley Kenty on his way to 3rd, then stepped on 2nd base for the 2nd out threw to first for the 3rd and final out of the inning and a triple-play. Koror Bombers went on to win the game 11-8. Tom Torres highlighted Bombers offense with a 3 run homer.

The rain tamed the Tigers as they failed to field enough players allowing Warriors to register a 7-0 win.
Fadang 7, Spec 0
Game 6
In a rare occurrence in Palau League, Spec had only 9 players dress-up for the game. After 3 regular innings they led 2-0, but failed to come up with 10th players and had to settle for 0-7 loss.
Comets 10, Outrigger 0
Game 5
Jeff Cabrera led the offense going 2 for 2 with 2 homes and 4 RBI’s; Arthur Moses went 2 for 2 and scoring 2 runs, and Ben Mesa 3 for 4 with a homer and a double while diving in 3 to lead Comets to a 5 inning 10-0 mercy rule victory over Outrigger. Ben Hocog went 2 for 2 in the losing effort.
Red Torch 18, Sofang 11
Game 3
Red Torch scored 7 runs on the top of 7th inning and held Sogang Scoreless to win the game. Sofang led 11-10 through 5th inning but couldn’t hold on. John Sablan led Red Torch offense going 3 for 4, the 3 hits all homeruns and scoring 3 runs. Kale Igisomar tripled and homered and scored 2 times for Sofang.
Enforcers 16, Turtles 15
Game 2
Tied with a score of 10-10, going into the 7th and final inning, Turtle scored 5 times to take the lead 15-10. Enforcers were not done yet. In the half of the 7th they scored 6 times for a come-from-behind 16-15 thriller. Al Lizama singled and scored on Riang Yoshino’s double and in turn scored on Ed Camacho’s single. With 2 outs and bases loaded, Paul Ogomuro tripled in 3 runs and then scored himself on an error for the winning run.
