A U.S. production company that specializes in filming sport fishing and outdoor living is in the Northern Mariana Islands to promote the islands and abundant sea life.

This opportunity was presented to the Marianas Visitors Authority and, in seeing the value of exposing the Northern Mariana Islands to the U.S. Mainland as an alternate destination of choice, MVA fully endorses the group?s visit to our islands?, said JOhn Perry Tenorio, MVA managing director.

He added, “In addition to our exposure in the U.S. mainland, these programs will also be aired in several Asian countries. We feel we are maximizing our dollars in that we are exposing our destination in the U.S. market while maintaining a presence in Asia.”

Tim Brockman Productions, a company based in Red Lodge, Montana, produces sports fishing and outdoor living shows like “Subaru Owner Outback” for ESPN 2 and “Salt Water Angler”, “High Country Fly Fishing”, and “Snow Adventures” for the Outdoor Life Network in the U.S. Their latest project is “New Adventures In Angling” which is geared for German TV.

The group, which consists of Tim Brockman, producer and director, Jim Howard, cameraman, and Mark Bachik, host, have been here since Sept. 28th and are currently touring the NMI and filming various locales that offer fishing and diving for these shows, which will be aired six days a week.

“We are very happy to be visiting and filming Saipan and the rest of the Northern Mariana Islands. Although there is information available on the Internet about Saipan, you can’t really appreciate it until you actually see it yourself?, said Brockman.

“We are very excited about promoting the beauty and outdoor adventures available in Northern Mariana Islands to all our viewers,” he added.

They spent last week filming different areas in Saipan and most of this week in Rota. They are also planning on covering Tinian as a fishing destination and possibly the Northern Islands prior to their expected departure date October 14th.
