The CNMI Boy Scout Program will be holding a Fall Camporee at Obyan Beach from Oct. 22 through 24, 1999. Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troops from Saipan will be participating in the activity.

The camp out will include games aimed at enhancing outdoors skills, swimming, hiking, learning activities, food preparation, awards ceremony, campfire, song and skit and performances by the various participating troops.

The camp will be set up immediately left of the Obyan beach entrance. The public is asked to curtail motor traffic on the beach area during this weekend.

The Fall Camporee is one of the Boy Scouts many planned programs this year that seek to teach important outdoor skills, civic pride and appreciation for nature through programs that are fun for the youth. The Boy Scout Programs additionally provide meaningful after school and weekend activities for students.

If you are interested in participating in the Boy Scouts, you can contact the Boy Scout Office at 234-1283.
