A letter to a friend
I read your letter for Ms. Shanarrah and I thought about every lines you wrote. We live in a world full of miracles and I personally ask that you do not give up hope. I wont be able to tell you how you feel for I do not know and I can only express how sorry I am that you have the AIDS-causing HIV virus.
I read your letter so many times and I cannot imagine how you feel. Ms. Unknown, you are not alone even though you feel that way. Having to live day by day really counts, that is the whole truth. The lives we all have were given to us and will only to be taken away when our time comes.
I have a dear friend, whom I also call a brother, infected with this devastating virus. He is currently reaching out to educate people with great courage and I am sure you are proud of him too. Now, he has many wonderful friends and we all stand by him.
Please do not suffer any more than you already have in silence. We care for you and please end the silence. Come out and help us stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.
