Want to share a unique hobby or skill of yours? How about teaching a craft, or even a sport?

The Mount Carmel Middle School and High School are getting geared up for this school year’s Mini-Course Week, which is slated for the week of March 6 to March 10, 2000.

Mini-Course Week is an annual tradition at MCS during which teachers, staff, parents, and community members teach two hour courses that stand outside the traditional world of academia.

It gives students and course instructors a chance to dabble and play with a wide array of skills, projects, and activities that might not normally be covered in the classroom.

Some past courses include basket weaving, basic quilting, hacky sack, dance, culinary arts, the Joy of Disney, science fiction, physics, wrestling, basic yoga exercises, natural disasters, and traditional canoeing and navigation.

If you are interested in teaching a course and want to find out more information, contact Todd Blahnik at tblahnik@saipan.com or Galvin Guerrero at galvin@itecnmi.com.
