Hyatt welcomes Ozone
Night-outs on Saipan will never be the same again.
Hyatt Regency Hotel is bringing in Ozone, a multi-talented Filipino show band of well-traveled and experienced musicians, to Saipan’s most popular night hang out — Gilligan’s.
Ozone, a group of five talented male musicians and an equally musically gifted female vocalist, has traveled around Asia showcasing its world-class, jam-packed performances in various hotels.
Members of the Ozone include guitarist Angelito Calianga, guitarist/vocalist Davius Plama, bass guitarist Arnold Fabroa, keyboard player Flores Allan Tamayo, drummer Gilbert Soriano, and vocalist Lorena Lopez Cueto.
Mr. Calianga has been performing professionally for the past few years. He has performed at various five-star hotels in Asia like Holiday Inn-Shanghai, Grand Blue Wave-Malaysia, Kings Hotel-Singapore and Planet Eurora in Myanmar.
Mr. Plama does not only play guitar but sings as well. He has performed with Mr. Fabroa and Mr. Calianga in The Ship, Holiday Inn-Shanghai, Blue Wave in Malaysia and King’s Hotel in Singapore.
A graduate of one of Manila’s well-known music school, Mr. Fabroa has been with the Ozone since it was formed. Mr. Tamayo is a professional keyboard player who has graced the group’s overseas performances.
Mr. Soriano is the most experienced member of the group, performing since 1974. He ventured into professional appearances when he joined Ozone several years back.
The only rose among the thorns, Ms. Cueto is capable of singing in wide range of repertoires. She is a veteran of several Manila music venues before she joined Ozone.
