PIC’s 1999 Outstanding Employees
Pacific Islands Club-Saipan recently honored its outstanding employee, supervisor and manager for year 1999.
The Employee of the Year award recipient was Annes Capelle. Annes has been working in the Accounting Department here at PIC since 1995. He sets a superb example for other employees by consistently offering a high level of service to guests and employees alike.
The Supervisor of the Year, Gilda Jalmas, from the Housekeeping Department has been with PIC since June 1991. Ms. Jalmas is always available when assistance is needed and motivates the department to maintain cleanliness, efficiency and order. She is constantly aware of what is going on around the hotel and does an excellent job with her evaluations. It is work like her’s that maintains PIC’s standards of service. Ms. Jalmas, with her outstanding commitment to excellence, is a true asset to PIC.
The Manager of the Year is Blaine Rogers. In the four years that he has been with PIC, Blaine has worked in a variety of departments. Starting out as a Clubmate, Blaine has also worked as Beach Supervisor, Guest Relations Manager, Training Manager and will be the Director of Human Resources. His attitude and willingness to persevere through difficult situations make Blaine an ideal manager at PIC.
Guest Services recently had the distinct honor of being voted the Department of the Year. The Guest Services department is full of hard working, professional individuals that provide a positive guest experience. They are frequently mentioned in guest surveys as being kind and happy to assist. Whether they are providing airport transfers or escorting guests to the hospital, the Guest Services Department is available to provide courteous hospitality with a smile.
