GMAT and GRE tests scheduled for March

The paper-based versions of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) – general tests will administered at the Northern Marianas College Saipan Campus on March 4, 2000.

The GMAT measures the general verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills that are developed over a long period of time. It is designed to held graduate schools of business assess the qualification of applicants for advanced study in business and management.

The GRE measures verbal, quantitative and analytical skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field. This test is taken by individuals applying to enter one of the graduate programs.

If you are interested in taking either of these tests on Saipan anytime soon, please plan to take it on March 4, 2000. The only administration of the GRE this year will be on Nov. 4. 2000. No other administration of the GMAT is planned this year.

You can also make arrangement with the Sylvan Technology Center in Guam to take computer-based versions of these tests in Guam by appointment. Contact Marie Nelson at (671) 477-0700, e-mail sylvangu@ite.net for further information.

Come to the NMC Counseling Center for GMAT Information Bulletin and the GRE 1999-2000 Information and Registration Bulletin. There is no preregistration for these tests. You will be given registration for on the day of the tests and will be asked to complete it.

The test fee for GMAT is $165 payable to ETS-GMAT. The test fee for GRE general test is $125 payable to ETS-GRE. The following are acceptable forms of payment: personal check, money order, cashier’s check, and credit card. Cash is not acceptable. You are required to bring a photo ID, preferably a valid passport or driver’s license and two No. 2 pencils with erasers.

Report to NMC Saipan Campus Building A by 8:00 a.m. on March 4, 2000 to complete the registration process. Testing will begin at 8:30 a.m.
