Lite Beer handed Get Covered their first defeat in the playoffs with a 74-70 win Friday night at the Ada Gym.
Abong and Peter Camacho combined for 45 points to earn the victory. Abong had 32 points, one block shot, 22 rebounds, and four steals, while older brother Peter pitched in 13 points, two assists, and seven rebounds.
Get Covered had 19 points coming from Jun Aaron. Aaron dished out two assists, one block shot, three rebounds, and a steal. John Acosta supported Aaron with 14 points, one assist, five rebounds, and one steal.
GTE Pacifica 80, Len’s 79
GTE Pacifica survived the last minute attack of Len’s Restaurant after defeating the latter by one point, 80-79.
Mark Wallace had 21 points, three assists, and five steals, while teammate Aloy Torreon pumped in eight points, one assist, 13 rebounds, and five steals.
Len’s Restaurant had 36 points from Mark Rozic, who also dished out two assists, grabbed 15 rebounds, while Paul Joyce backed up Rozic with 12 points, three assists, five rebounds, and a steal in a losing cause.
