Women’s forum in Manila

The Governor’s Special Assistant on Women’s Affairs, Ana S. Teregeyo, informs the community that the Federation of Asia Pacific Women’s Associations (FAWA) has extended an invitation to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) to attend the upcoming 16th Annual PAWA Convention. The convention is tentatively scheduled for April 25-29, 2000 at the Traders Hotel, Manila. Participants and organizers will discuss issues about the role of women in the new millennium.

The theme for this year’s convention is “Sharing the Best of Asia- Pacific Heritage in the 21st Century.” Highlights of the convention are plenary sessions, workshops, exhibits, election, country reports, socials and ecotour.
