On false spread of information about NMI

Native born and currently residing in Saipan, I have lived in Georgia, Texas and Arizona and traveled the US and Europe extensively. So my response to you folks is based on experience, not bloated hearsays transmitted via email to people who have no clue as to the basis of your messages.

Native born and currently residing in Saipan, I have lived in Georgia, Texas and Arizona and traveled the US and Europe extensively. So my response to you folks is based on experience, not bloated hearsays transmitted via email to people who have no clue as to the basis of your messages.

First and foremost, let me clarify and correct the untruths being spread in your propaganda. The garment factories on Saipan may have had problems in the past and may again have problems in the future with respect to their employees’ living and work
conditions but they in no way, can and ever will approach the conditions being described below. The words must certainly come from an ignorant citizen who has no clue to the pertinent facts of the garment industry in Saipan. I live here and because of the work I do, visit all of the factories that produce garment products for the US market. I have no idea where on this earth you people get your information, and I really am outraged at the gross and irresponsible accusations and comments directed at my island. I invite you-all of you in your organization and all the other banner carrying mobs looking for a cause, to come here and find out for yourselves the truth to this matter.

Second, I understand the power of the unions in the US and how they can corrupt the ideas and ideals of the common man and politicians. I know of the contributions made to politicians and organizations with an agenda for anything factual or otherwise. I understand the protectionist attitude of the US garment industry and their overpaid unionized labor workforce. And I understand the American mentality not looking at the problems at the homefront, but elsewhere. Why not? It is easier to politicize issues that 99.99% of America will never find out the truth about.

Currently, Saipan is a hot issue with idealist movements and “peace groups” such as yours. To you all, I am not defending the garment companies doing business in Saipan, I am trying to open your eyes and ears to the “other side of the story”. Quit listening to gossip and do yourselves a favor. Discuss the issues of and mobilize in the defense of Chechnya and the other countries where men, women and children are getting killed needlessly in the name of peace. Where were you during the genocide in Serbia and Cambodia? Is it safe to assume that you and all the other peaceniks were too busy hiding behind the safety barrier of your banners and ideals? Come on, get with the program and tell the truth or shut up.
