OES celebrates Cultural Day

A fun-filled and exciting day awaits the public as the Oleai Elementary School celebrates its Cultural Day on May 13, 2000 between 8:00am and 3:00pm at the school compound.

The event features a raffle draw where participants can win fabulous prizes. Akin to the celebration is the awarding of the OES Cultural King and Queen 2000.

The Cultural Day celebration will also showcase indigenous songs and dances, which will be presented from each classroom to relive local culture.

The PTSA will sell hot lunches of different food specialty from various ethnic groups for $5.00.

OES thanks the parents, businesses, private and individuals who supported and contributed to this fundraising event. This fundraising activity is launched to support the school’s ongoing improvement projects aimed at provide quality education to OES students.

Sixth grade student Celine Orsini coined this year’s Cultural Day celebration, which is “Love, Learn and Live Your Culture,” which bagged the first place in the theme-making contest.
