Fruit bat missing

Saipan Zoo’s famous attraction — the pregnant fruit bat is missing. According to the zoo’s owner, Frank Aldan, the fruit bat was discovered missing Saturday morning.

“The fruit bat is very friendly and we’re worried it might not survive if not returned to the zoo at once because it has been in captivity since November 1996,” said Mr. Aldan.

He is offering a reward to anybody who can help return the fruit bat to the zoo.
