MVA lines up activities for Tourism Month

May has been designated as Tourism Month and in keeping with such, the Marianas Visitors Authority is hosting sporting events that are organized as part of the 2000 CNMI Tourism Month activities that was created to promote the tourism industry within the CNMI community.

On Saturday, May 13th, starting from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the Saipanda Bike Race will take place starting at the Marianas Resort with two different courses set up for the Family Race and the Professional Race. The age limit for this event is 12 years old and up. Proceeds from this event will go to Karidat, CNMI Youth Center for Music and Performing Arts, and Crime Stoppers. On Saturday, May 20th, starting at 7:00 am, a Charity Golf Tournament will take place at the Marianas Country Club with the awards ceremony to take place right after the event at Pau Pau Beach. Proceeds from this event will go to Karidat, CNMI Youth Center for Music and Performing Arts, and Crime Stoppers.
