There were 10 individual contestants and 6 hotel/restaurant category representatives who entered a chili.

Victoria Chavarria won 1st place and the $1,000 prize money in cook-off at Hyatt’s Gilligan’s Friday night. Juan Sadura won 2nd place and two round-trip tickets to Manila from Continental Micronesia. Gary Weakly won 3rd place and the $300 prize money.

Mom’s Round 2 won the coveted “Golden Jalapeño” award and bragging rights for the best chili on island for the next year.

Five hundred dollars was collected from the participant entrance fees and will be donated to the NMI Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
