TDH tennis invitational a success
Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino held the Doubles Tennis Tournament last May 5-7 with over 25 men and women tennis enthusiasts joining the 4.0, 3.0 and 2.0 levels as well as and the men’s, women’s and mixed doubles categories.
The Filipino Community of Tinian (FILCOMTIN), host of the competition, stopped FILATA Saipan from wiping out their opponents by winning the mixed doubles. Tour director L. De Vega/Defino defeated J. Villanueva/S. Wong 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-1).
Men’s doubles category winners: 2.0 level – R. Arive/M. Buenabajo def. A. Rosario/S. Biton 6-2, 2-6, 6-2; 3.0 level – E. Guzman/J. Frasco def. S. Biton/G. Olanda 6-0, 6-l; 4.0 – level L. Padilla/R. Curacero def. J. Villanueva/R. Frias 7-5, 1-6, 6-3. Women’s doubles category: S. Wong/L. Pasana def. L. Trance/R. Defino 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
