Tanapag Braves are 2000 Sr. League Pennant champs

After defeating the Hustlers in last Saturday’s game, the Braves continued their mastery in the diamond by defeating the Knight 10-6 last Sunday to win the Senior League Pennant title.

Jeremiah Suel had 3 hits, including a double plus a run and, Jonathan Camacho slammed 2 triples, scored two times and also knocked in 2 runs as the Braves topped the Knights 10-6 in the final game of the regular season.

In the first game of the day, the D’9ers split their regular season game against the Hustlers topping the Hustlers 11-2 as Ray Dela Cruz went 3 for 3 runs. Johnty Jones also with 3
hits for the D’9ers victory.

In an interview with manager Jessie Pua, he was very proud and grateful to his players for winning the Pennant. “It’s totally a teamwork, one game at a time.”

Commissioner Joe Salas as well is very pleased with the way the players played all season as he mentioned that there are a lot of great talents this players showcased this season.

He added the players’ performance proved that the All-Star team for the Far-East Tournament will definitely demonstrate outstanding performances.
