Saipan’s fashion enthusiasts gather at the Hyatt Regency-Saipan for an afternoon of pomp and pageantry as popular brand Chanel presented its first ever Summer and Spring Collection in the new millennium.

Eleven walking mannequins paraded 35 outfits, which is part of Chanel’s trend-setting spring and summer ensemble, before an awed crowd of the island’s fashion-conscious women at the Hyatt’s Giovanni’s Restaurant.

Saipan is the first in the Micronesian Region to get a peep of Chanel’s latest collection for the season through the fashion show, which was complimented by Hyatt Regency with a classic style Afternoon Tea.

Chanel considers Saipan one of its most important markets, the island being a popular destination for Japanese travelers who contribute to a big chunk of its annual sales figures.
