Manibusan is SGA's June 2000 club champion
The Saipan Golfers Association finally completed the June 2000 monthly club championship tournament last Saturday, June l 7, 2000 at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Course.
This month’s champion went to no other than Judge Edward Manibusan who not only got the days’ best gross and net score but also dominated the closest to the pin contest.
Judge Manibusan shot an incredible two under par at 34 in the front nine and two over par 38 on the back to come in with an even par 72 for the days event. With a 3 handicap, his net score for the day is a low 69.
His closest competitor was Mr. Tom Aldan who shot 45 in the front and just two over par 38 in the back for a total gross score of 83. Tom’s handicap at 13 gave him a net score of 70 just one stroke from Manibusan.
Third place winnner was awarded to Joe Camacho who shot two over par 38 in the front and one under par 35 in the back for a total gross score of 73. Camacho’s handicap is zero.
In the closest to the pin contest, Judge Manibusan won holes no. 3, 7 and 14. Joe Camacho won hole no. 12. The next monthly club tournament will be announced at a later date for the July tour.
