As the CNMI’s center for higher education, the college takes pride in its recent accomplishment, citing willingness to perform services outside the provision of education and training programs to the community at large.
According to NMC Development and Alumni Relations Director Tony Deleon Guerrero, this goodwill effort is one of the college’s means of improving its institutional image and generating community appreciation.
“This is basically to promote community partnerships by increasing awareness in the community and trying to garner community support,” said Mr. Deleon Guerrero.
“This is a way of giving back to the community and to help nonprofit and other fundraising events supported by different groups,” he added.

As an incentive, the college is then entitled to a portion of the total funds raised from Ms. Camacho’s candidacy as the queen’s main sponsor.
NMC will get 20 percent out of its share in the funds raised which will be forwarded to the college’s endowment bank.
“This will assist us make expansions in some of our programs and improve its quality. Through the interest alone, it can be earmarked for institutional use,” said Mr. Deleon Guerrero.
Millennium Queen Ms. Camacho has expressed gratitude to the college, her family, friends, and supporters for the opportunity to hold the Liberation Queen 2000 title.
