San Antonio Elementary School’s Parents/Students orientation is scheduled for Aug. 7, 2000 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

This event, designed to link children to vital communities through home and school, will be conducted by the homeroom teachers and staff. Students are scheduled to take their parents on a brief tour of the computer lab.

Parents who have more than two children in SAES may choose which child or children to accompany to orientation. Grandparents are invited to participate also.

Mrs. Thompson, SAES principal, encourages parents not to buy a lot of school supplies until after the orientation. However, the staff recommends the following First-Day List of items all students will surely need: Plastic cup for drinking, plastic water bottle for PE (everyday), two #2 pencils, small pencil sharpener, eraser, ballpoint pen (blue or black ink for 3rd to 6th Graders), school scissors with rounded blades, ruler, one spiral notebook, one folder, healthy snack (fruit, bento, juice), athletic shoes with Velcro fasteners.

Parents may call SAES at 234-6227 for further information.
