OIA’s economic plan: Nothing new
With a lame duck Clinton administration, his ill-prepared economic plan is the usual dish of more misses than hits, plans that should have been implemented in partnership years ago. But they had to delay it as it attends to labor unions’ demands to kill Pacific’s Little David.
Goliath can’t stand healthy competition and it isn’t surprising that it can consciously sacrifice our livelihood for more illegal aliens in its factories.
How ironic Interior’s OIA’s role in economic ruination under–federal takeover plan–based not on egregious commission of human rights violation. It is a repulsive plan by labor unions in California (capital of garment manufacturing) to compromise the NMI’s competitive advantage, no more, no less.
I figure the OIA team finally came to its senses and the grand failure of its Carrot and Stick scheme leaves no room to maneuver.
Thus, the grand public relations stunt right before they take their hot seats before Congressman Don Young’s Committee beginning tomorrow in Washington. The pyrotechnic works in this hearing ought to be our grand finale of this year’s Liberation Day festivities!
I’m not going to discuss specifics in that it is best that you hear it yourself. I would have proven my case, loud and clear, of how OIA decided to turn partnership into adversarial relationship with the CNMI.
Prayers to former Gov. Guerrero
I’ve meant to ask that we pray as a community for the speedy recovery of former Governor Larry Guerrero who recently suffered a stroke.
I understand he is still at Makati Medical Center undergoing therapy. Indeed, it is a very trying moment for his family as they gather in prayers in his hospital room for his recovery.
Catastrophic illnesses are difficult cases to deal with riddled with a drain of basically everything: emotions to meager filial resources.
Having walked through this dark and deep valley in the late eighties, I know what families go through as they wrestle with uncertainty and all that follows when a loved clears the hurdle of the Intensive Care Unit.
Friends, I have seen the benefits of the powers of prayers. After the best doctor declared that he quite doesn’t understand my son’s medical condition, I knew right then and there that it’s the end of what the best medical team can offer. It’s this real life experience that makes us better people where you see Him grant you another lease on life!
Nothing will match that feeling of relief the day I left the hospital with my son smiling by my side saying “Daddy, I want the biggest sandwich right now!”
Man, that’s one hospital exit I will never forget. My son’s eyes were glistening with joy as he held unto mom’s sturdy hands repeatedly asking for his grand sandwich.
Please, remember the former governor in your prayers and take care of you family’s health, now, today!

Well, I’ve met the meanest beast in this valley. He wasn’t able to derail my sense of equilibrium, purpose and sometime misunderstood viewpoints. I pray someday we shall conquer our coveted mañana, ably allow constructive engagement to predominate our daily dealings, and joins in unity as we sing what should have been the Marianas Anthem: “Ti Gi Un` Palasyon I Riko”. Be good, take charge, si Yuus maase`!
