Police arrested Commonwealth Utilities Corp. employee Elias Etemao Sabino, 32, for DUI, resisting arrest, obstructing justice and fleeing the scene of a damaged property Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Sabino was driving a 1999 Kenworth Augur boom truck when he hit a utility pole along Papago near the super blue tank, causing power outage and hydraulic fuel spill, said Rose Ada, DPS public information officer.

The fuel spill stretched about two meters long from the Dandan Shell Station to the CUC garage at the Joeten Compound.
Police had to close the west-bound lane covering the vicinity to traffic due to the danger posed by the highly flammable chemical.

The Division of Environmental Quality was called to carry out a cleanup along with the Emergency Management Office and Division of Fire personnel.
