Sign up for adult education

On-going students in the NMC Adult Basic Education (ABE) program are reminded that sign up for fall semester classes will be held Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 11 and 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Room K-1 at the NMC campus. Class schedules are available at the nearby ABE Office.

New students should arrange to take the free Math and English placement tests as soon as possible. Special sessions will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 9:00 a.m. in the same room.

Class sign up for new students will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 13 and 14, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Room K-1.

The ABE Program provides academic preparation for students interested in taking the General Educational Development (GED) tests, the most established and recognized high school equivalency in the United States and Canada for more than 50 years.

All students are reminded that the current GED test series must be completed by Sept. 30, 2001 with the establishment of a new test series in January 2002.
