The NMC Small Business Development Center continues to fill it’s conference room for it’s monthly “Start Your Own Business” workshop. If you didn’t register early enough for a seat in August, don’t get left behind in October.

The purpose of the workshop is to present to entrepreneurs what services the SBDC provides and the importance of business planning. Participants will also learn the factors that can improve their chances for a successful business start-up, and how to start a business and market it on a tight budget.

According to staff business consultant, Dirk Sharer, “We continue to have solid participation and expect attendance to be strong again this month. Our August turnout was a clear example. Moreover, we are in the process of adding programs, such as Business Plan for Success, to assist the attendees prepare a business plan that they can bank on.”

Seating is limited to 20 participants in the SBDC’s renovated conference room which allow for maximum participation and idea generation.
