DEQ’s Cleanup Brigade’s meeting last month was very eventful. Not only did Tank Beach get a good cleaning, several of the brigade members were awarded for their notable contribution to preservation of Saipan’s beaches. DEQ applauds their continued efforts.

Next month’s brigade cleanup will be held at Coral Ocean Point Beach in October 7th, 2000. Volunteers can meet at 8:00 a.m. on Coral Ocean Beach, or for those not familiar with how to get to Coral Ocean Point, may meet a DEQ representative at COP parking lot in Koblerville.

After the cleanup, brigade members who have participated in at least three brigade events will receive their bright green brigade t-shirt. Those members who have participated in at least 10 brigade events will join the ranks of the “Gold” brigade and receive hats. This is a cleanup that shouldn’t be missed. So join DEQ’s Cleanup brigade at 8:00 a.m. at Coral Ocean Point and PICK it UP!
