A Beginning Conversational Chamorro class is being offered through Northern Marianas College’s Community Programs. This class will help you learn everyday spoken Chamorro fluent enough to carry on a conversation. Students will also be able to practice their Chamorro conversational skills in a fun and practical situation. This class is not only perfect for someone who is new to the Marianas but also for those service providers such as doctors and nurses, classroom teachers or even those with Chamorro ancestry but don’t speak or understand the language at all.

Registration is at NMC Bldg. V. A minimum enrollment is required for the class to be conducted. The first class is scheduled for today, Oct. 30, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until Nov. 27, in room A-1. Registration fee is $121.00.

For more information, please contact NMC Community Programs at 234-5498 ext. 1814/1815 and ask for Edith or Trish.
